Cost Accountant Job in Milwaukee Area

A national manufacturing company in the northwest Milwaukee suburbs is looking to add a new Cost Accountant to their team. This position is newly created due to company growth, so it would be an exciting role to make your own!

Job Duties:

• Partner with Accounting Manager on month/year end close procedures
• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
• Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports on variances
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Analyze and reconcile the general ledger accounts related to inventory
• Provide support for other accounting functions when needed

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant (cost accounting) experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to interact and communicate with upper-level management on a daily basis
