Decision-making authority on most tax matters.ResponsibilitiesConduct technical review and approval of tax returns and tax audits of varying complexity.Oversee larger tax returns, assigning tasks to preparers when necessary.Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise to advise clients on tax matters.Ensure client service tasks are completed within specified time and budget.Active participation in client meetings and tax planning, supporting Auditing and Accounting Department on major clients.Be a resource for tax specialists and A&A staff regarding tax-related queries.Handle tax preparation for complex business returns.Manage client service for assigned clients or those delegated by the Partner.Keep firm personnel updated on important tax developments impacting clients.Manage and delegate government tax examinations; represent clients before taxing authorities.Oversee smooth flow of tax returns through the preparation system to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Ensure billing and collection processes are accurate and timely.Research and evaluate tax software for recommendations to partners.Contribute to firm practice development through involvement in community and industry initiatives.Supervisory Responsibilities:Develop, coach, and train Supervising Seniors, Seniors, Semi-seniors, and Staff accountants.Understand qualifications and training needs of Tax staff.Participate in Tax Department reviews and evaluations.QualificationsFive to seven years' public accounting experience, showing progression in tax complexity, scope, and research.At least one year supervising and directing tax preparers.Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s in taxation preferred.Active certified public accountant’s license.First Name(Required)Last Name(Required)Email(Required)PhoneResumeResume(Required)Max. file size: 100 MB.MessageDo you agree to receive text messages from Gables Search Group sent from (440) 951-9990 & (440) 951-9991?
