Work Environment

The work setting at Positive Visions is dynamic and team-oriented, located in the heart of Lakeland. Our physical therapist will work in an outpatient office that promotes collaboration among healthcare providers, ensuring seamless communication and comprehensive patient management. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while engaging with patients during their available hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the full therapeutic process for an assigned caseload, in collaboration with physicians and the patient care team.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon their arrival, gathering pertinent medical histories and evaluating their physical abilities to develop tailored therapy plans.
• Implement and adjust individualized care plans with a focus on achieving set goals, patient engagement, and ensuring a positive therapeutic experience.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions within the established scope of practice, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Provide therapeutic care in accordance with the physicians' diagnosis and treatment plans, including home therapy programs that empower patient self-management.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and the appropriate usage of assistive devices, empowering them to actively participate in their rehabilitation journey.
• Effectively prioritize caseloads, assess daily staffing requirements, and systematically assign responsibilities within the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a physical therapist at Positive Visions, you will work with a diverse patient population, including adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions, as well as children requiring developmental support. Our therapists prioritize creating personalized and engaging therapeutic experiences, ensuring that each patient receives compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.

Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred, though candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in a range of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) to document patient progress and treatment interventions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

Positive Visions Physical Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits package includes:
