Junior Project ManagerA growing commercial HVAC contractor is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support mechanical projects from startup through closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some construction or project coordination experience who wants to develop their skills and grow into independently managing projects.The Junior Project Manager will assist with schedules, materials, field coordination, subcontractors, project documentation, and client communication. This person will work closely with experienced project leadership while learning the technical and operational sides of commercial HVAC project management.The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts in a fast paced construction environment.Key Responsibilities:Support commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from startup through closeoutAssist with project schedules and day to day coordinationCoordinate materials and equipment based on project requirements and timelinesCommunicate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departmentsMaintain project documentation and track outstanding itemsAssist with client communication and project updatesHelp coordinate field activities to keep projects moving according to scheduleTrack material orders, deliveries, deadlines, and project requirementsIdentify potential issues and communicate them to project leadershipAssist with project closeout documentation and completion requirementsLearn all aspects of commercial HVAC project management with the goal of growing into full project ownershipQualifications:1+ year of relevant construction, project coordination, field, or similar experience preferredHVAC or mechanical construction exposure is a strong plusStrong organizational and follow through skillsProactive and willing to take ownership of responsibilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong communication and problem solving skillsComfortable communicating with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and field teamsBasic understanding of construction plans, schedules, or project documentation is a plusEager to learn commercial HVAC and mechanical project managementMotivated to grow into independently managing projects from startup through completionLocation: Long Island / NYC / NJType: Full timeSalary: $60,000 to $85,000/year
