The services are related to orientation and mobility for students of the visually impaired. The O&M Specialist is to ensure that students' IEPs are current in regards to services and that the goals and objectives are monitored for progress. O&M Specialist is complete all needed documents to meet compliance and participate in all required meetings, trainings, and complete other duties, as assigned.Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Pre K-12Licensure Requirements:Possess certification from the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired ORPossess certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education ProfessionalsApplicants must have BA degree and possess or have ability to obtain a NM teaching license (New Mexico has an alternative licensure program for applicants who possess a BA degree or higher.)Terms of Employment: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district.
