Role Description: Virtual 9-12 Learning Coach (1099 Independent Contractor)

We are seeking US-Certified Virtual Learning Coaches (Grades 9-12) for flexible, part-time 1099 contractor partnerships.

As a Learning Coach at Strike School, you partner directly with students and families to guide, customize, and enrich their virtual education experience. You will help translate educational requirements into tailored learning plans, deliver 1:1 coaching, monitor academic growth, and collaborate with parents to ensure each student thrives on their own terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Personalized Curriculum Support: Adapt and deliver personalized learning plans across high school core subjects, tailoring materials to fit individual learning styles and interests.
• Diagnostic and Mastery Tracking: Assess student progress, identify learning gaps, and establish clear, data-driven mastery goals to track academic growth effectively over time.
• 1:1 Student Mentorship: Conduct virtual coaching sessions that build student confidence, encourage independent problem-solving, and foster strong academic engagement.
• Family Collaboration and Partnership: Maintain open communication with parents, helping them navigate distance learning, track student milestones, and maintain balanced learning environments.

Qualifications and Technical Requirements

• Advanced Academic Credibility: Hold a Master’s Degree or higher in Education or a related academic field.
• Active US Teaching Certification: Valid state certification covering secondary/high school grade levels.
• High School Subject Proficiency: Strong multi-subject high school competency, with a firm minimum requirement to coach Algebra 1 and Geometry .
• Non-Traditional or Virtual Experience: Experience supporting students in online environments, personalized learning settings, or non-traditional educational models.
• Technology & Communication Skills: High proficiency with virtual learning tools, digital document management, and AI-assisted instructional resources.
• Dedicated Workspace: High-speed internet (minimum 31 Mbps upload), a quiet home office setup with a closing door, dual monitors, and an eye-level 1080p webcam setup.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Alignment with a flexible, part-time 1099 independent contractor partnership.
